Hablemos del Mar is a Spanish awareness and circular-economy initiative that recovers plastic from the Mediterranean coast, investigates its conversion into an experimental sail and communicates the process through a regatta, accessible education and corporate alliances linked to the SDGs.

Recycled sail

The recycled sail is an experimental nautical prototype investigating how PET, PE and PP microplastics recovered from the Mediterranean coast can be combined with recycled fibres and a thermo-fused matrix to produce a traceable, potentially recyclable technical laminate.

SONIA is an accessible conceptual sail that turns the sound and movement of the sea into visual and haptic signals. It brings the ocean experience closer to Deaf people through a respectful, educational and lightweight sensory interpretation.
